Megan Nare
In Megan’s classes, expect a blend of deep philosophy, grounded wisdom, and, yes, the occasional bad joke.
Her therapeutic approach is deeply personal, shaped by over 20 years of yoga study and practice, as well as her own journey through life’s challenges. This rich history has given her a profound understanding of yoga’s transformative power—not just as a physical practice but as a tool for navigating life’s complexities with resilience and grace (although, let’s be real, it doesn’t always look graceful). These experiences have taught Megan how to hold space with unwavering compassion and without judgment, creating a safe and brave environment for exploration, healing, and growth.
Drawing from a rich tapestry of influences—traditional yoga philosophy, modern science, and reflections on the human condition—Megan offers a practice that is both deeply meaningful and refreshingly real. Whether someone is navigating a difficult chapter in life or simply seeking connection and insight, her goal is to create a space where students feel seen, supported, and encouraged on their path.
An E-RYT 500, Megan is deeply devoted to her own practice, following a traditional Ashtanga yoga schedule under the guidance of her teacher, Todd Roderick at Ashtanga Yoga Atlanta. She currently leads a unique program at Emory University called The Cognitive Empowerment Program, where she provides yoga and compassionate care for individuals living with early-stage cognitive impairment.
