Jenni began practicing yoga in college in 2001. Throughout the years, and the loss of her husband in 2016, yoga has remained a grounding force and a place to build community. 

Jenni has studied with Shakta Kaur Khalsa, Cheryl Crawford, and Amy Haysman. She has a certification in Radiant Child Yoga Level 1-3, received her YogaKids® Certified Facilitator and Trainer certification in 2008, and became a teacher of Grounded Yoga in 2009. She completed a 200-hour RYT MBYoga Teacher Training with Mitchel Bleier, David Aukamp, and Ruth Ann Martin in April 2010. 

Jenni taught Grounded Kids Yoga, Hot Vinyasa, Hot Core Power, and Hot 26 at Decatur Yoga from April 2008 until it closed to the public in 2020. 

She continues to study and be drawn to ritual and heart-centered, alignment-based yoga with a side of southern sass.
