Instructor Sara Rossi will lead you to practice postures, breathing and meditation. You’ll develop deep connection to your body and kinship in community.
Step into a circle of support, wisdom, and empowerment as we honor the sacred journey of pregnancy through yoga. Over the course of seven weeks, we’ll explore practices that support the profound transformation of mind, body, and spirit during this season of life. Each class is designed to help you connect more deeply with yourself, your changing body, and your growing baby.
Together, we’ll move through a layered experience of pregnancy, beginning with the physical body and gradually deepening into the energetic, emotional, intuitive, and spiritual dimensions of birth preparation. Along the way, you’ll build strength, cultivate calm, deepen trust in your body, and connect with the inner wisdom that can guide you through pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood.
Week 1: The Physical Body
We begin with mindful movement, prenatal yoga postures, pelvic floor awareness, stretching, and organic movement practices. This week focuses on helping you feel grounded and present in your body, while creating space and support for your growing baby.
Week 2: The Energy Body
Through movement and pranayama, we explore the breath as a tool for releasing tension, shifting holding patterns, and restoring flow. This class supports vitality, steadiness, and a deeper connection between breath, body, and baby.
Week 3: The Emotional Body
This week centers on the mental and emotional landscape of pregnancy and birth. Through longer-held postures and reflective practices, you’ll have space to notice, process, and soften around what arises, supporting emotional release and inner resilience.
Week 4: The Wisdom Body
With meditation and deep inner listening, we turn toward intuition and self-trust. This class invites you to connect with your inner guidance and the ancestral wisdom of birth, helping you feel more grounded in your own path and choices.
Week 5: The Sacred Heart
Through gentle ritual, breath, mudra, mantra, and heart-centered practices, we explore the qualities of peace, resilience, and surrender. This week offers space to connect with the deeper meaning of bringing new life into the world and to rest in the quiet strength at the center of your being.
Week 6: Birth Preparation — Pelvis, Movement, and Sound
This week brings our practice into more functional preparation for labor and birth. We’ll explore grounding movement, positions that support the pelvis, breath techniques, and vocal toning practices that can help soften tension and build confidence for labor. You’ll learn to work with gravity, rhythm, and sound as supportive tools for birth.
Week 7: Transition and Matrescence
In our final week, we honor the rite of passage into motherhood. Through gentle, integrative movement, meditation, and closing ritual, we reflect on the journey of pregnancy and prepare to step toward birth and postpartum with greater peace, strength, and support. We close not with an ending, but with a threshold — honoring both the woman you have been and the mother you are becoming.
Each class will include movement, breathwork, guided relaxation, meditation, and optional sharing. Affirmations and journaling prompts may also be offered to support reflection between classes. More than a yoga course, this is a space for community — a place to feel supported as you move through the challenges, beauty, and transformation of pregnancy.
