Joy Wilson
Joy has always had a love for the complexities of the human body and its ability to heal. She believes that intentional touch fuels the mind-body connection, and that better body awareness is key to understanding dysfunction and promoting recovery.
She has a Bachelor’s of Science in kinesiology, with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy, a certification in Massage Therapy from Gwinnett College, and certifications in Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial Release.
Joy is also proficient in Swedish massage, sports massage, and deep tissue. Each massage is styled to fit the needs of the moment, and because of this, her massages will change to suit every body.
Joy approaches each massage with an open mind and the acknowledgement that everyone is their own individual, with unique histories and stressors. She cherishes communication and understanding, and the connection that we all need to be truly heard.
In her free time, Joy likes to get lost in piles of books and snacks. She has a young dog named Bingo who is adorable and cuddly and if asked, she will tell you all about him and show you many, many pictures. She comes from a very large family, but is quiet by nature due to her upbringing in the peaceful blue ridge mountains. She enjoys working out, taking walks, and exploring new parts of the city.
