Embracing Strength and Softness: Taking Care of Your Mental Health in Challenging Times

This workshop will focus on how caring for our mental health can help us stay grounded and aligned, especially in difficult times. We’ll look at the balance between toughness and vulnerability and reimagine what “self-care” can mean. Together, we’ll share skills for supporting ourselves and one another in a safe, welcoming space.
The session will include space for open conversation, brief writing exercises, and will close with the option to join a restorative yoga class.
We’ll be guided by Nicki Salcedo, who has been teaching “Mental Health First Aid” since 2020. She is a writer and writing instructor, and has worked in health care strategy for 20 years. She and her husband have been practicing yoga together for 25 years (including at The Intown Retreat!), and she has four kids and four cats.

Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm (followed by optional restorative yoga)
